		Attractions and places to visit include Ile d'Oleron and Ile de Re. La Tremblade with its many bars and restaurants. Ronce des Bains for its sandy beaches and Royan, passing the zoo at Palmyre on your way.
		Saintes - historical regional capital with a roman amphitheatre and a magnificent arc-de-triomphe.
		La Rochelle - old historical port. No vehicles allowed in centre of the town but you can park in the Vieux Port or take the free bike loan offered to motorists.
		Rochefort - large port with naval traditions.
		Cognac - the name says it all! A visit to a distillery is a must.
